Chris Pratt shares first look at Ghost Draft, now titled The Tomorrow War

Before Chris Pratt returns to the blockbuster realm of dinosaurs running amok and crazy cosmic adventures, the actor will be taking the lead of THE TOMORROW WAR, a sci-fi thriller which takes place in a future where humanity is losing a war against aliens. In order to turn the tide, scientists begin drafting soldiers from the past in order to fight the war before all is lost. Chris Pratt (AVENGERS: ENDGAME) plays a soldier drafted to fight in that future war, where the fate of humanity will rely on his ability to confront his past.

Production on THE TOMORROW WAR, which used to go by the title of GHOST DRAFT, recently kicked off and Chris Pratt shared a photo from the set on Instagram. According to Pratt, GHOST DRAFT turned out to be a problematic title for various reasons, so they went through several other possibilities before settling on THE TOMORROW WAR.

In addition to Chris Pratt, THE TOMORROW WAR is also set to star J.K. Simmons (21 BRIDGES), Yvonne Strahovski (The Handmaid's Tale), and Betty Gilpin (GLOW). Simmons is said to be playing the father of Chris Pratt's character while Strahovski is set to play a woman who Pratt's character meets in the future who just so happens to have a connection to his past. Chris McKay (THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE) is helming the film from a script by Zach Dean (24 HOURS TO LIVE).

Our next dose of Chris Pratt will arrive in ONWARD, Pixar's latest animated feature which takes place in a modern-day fairy tale world inhabited by fairies, goblins, elves, mermaids, and the like. The film is slated to hit theaters on March 6, 2020.
