Christian Bale & Brad Pitt star in Adam McKay’s The Big Short trailer

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

When four outsiders saw what the big banks, media and government refused to, the global collapse of the economy, they had an idea: The Big Short. Their bold investment leads them into the dark underbelly of modern banking where they must question everyone and everything. Based on the true story and best-selling book by Michael Lewis (“The Blind Side”, “Moneyball”), and directed by Adam Mckay (ANCHORMAN, STEP BROTHERS), THE BIG SHORT stars Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt. Check out the first trailer below!

Adam McKay has always had a foot firmly planted in the world of politics and it looks like he’s finally going to dive head-first into some drama with THE BIG SHORT. Granted, it’ll be weird NOT to see these great actors take up arms and fight each other to the death, but everything here looks pretty sound if not overly exciting. At the end of the day, this may prove to be change of pace for the comedic director.

THE BIG SHORT hits theaters on December 23, 2015.
