Christoph Waltz has reportedly signed on for two more Bond movies

Spectre Sam Mendes Daniel Craig Christoph Waltz Banner

SPECTRE may not have reached the critical or box office heights as its predecessor, but I do have some (possible) good news for those of you who thought Christoph Waltz was underused in the SKYFALL sequel. The Mirror is reporting that Waltz has signed on for two more Bond flicks, however there is a catch. The actor will only return if Daniel Craig reprises his 007 role in the 25th and 26th installments.

Although earlier this year it didn’t sound like Craig wanted to do another Bond film, it was right after production had wrapped on SPECTRE, and a source tells the publication that “Daniel has been a huge success as 007 and is loved by fans so he isn’t going anywhere yet.” One person who won’t be back for the next Bond movies is director Sam Mendes, who in November confirmed that he’s done with the franchise.

Waltz is a damn fine actor, but many were unimpressed with his character and his role in SPECTRE, so I’m quite curious to see how people will react to this news. Do you think Waltz will definitely return for at least one more Bond movie, and who would you want to take over for Mendes?

SPECTRE is still playing in some theaters, however it hasn’t been announced yet when it will arrive on DVD and Blu-ray.
