That ever elusive geek god Christopher Nolan is finally ready to talk! Well, a little, but anything that exits the man’s mouth is like a sonata to the ears of movie fans everywhere, so when he feels like it’s time to yap, we listen.

First up, via The Playlist, is INCEPTION, which Nolan finally revealed a little about. Nothing that we didn’t somewhat know or assume already, but it’s still cool to get a little light shed on its plot from the man himself: “Basically the film deals with levels of reality, and perceptions of reality which is something I’m very interested in. Its an action film set in a contemporary world, but with a slight science-fiction bent to it. Cobb [Leonardo DiCaprio’s character], who is the center of things and expert in a particular technology that the film revolves around, has put this team around him [Ellen Page, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon Levitt]. It’s very much an ensemble film structured somewhat as a heist movie. It’s an action adventure that spans the globe.”

Then we have BATMAN 3 (or GOTHAM, as I’ll bet you a million dollars it’ll be called), which will cause utter pandemonium on the internet when it finally gets going. So far, all we really know is that Christopher’s brother Jonathan, is tackling the script, based on an idea hatched by the siblings and David Goyer.

“Without getting into specifics, the key thing that makes the third film a great possibility for us is that we want to finish our story,”
Noaln tells the L.A. Times. “And in viewing it as the finishing of a story rather than infinitely blowing up the balloon and expanding the story.”

He went on to say, “I’m very excited about the end of the film, the conclusion, and what we’ve done with the characters. My brother has come up with some pretty exciting stuff. Unlike the comics, these thing don’t go on forever in film and viewing it as a story with an end is useful. Viewing it as an ending, that sets you very much on the right track about the appropriate conclusion and the essence of what tale we’re telling. And it hearkens back to that priority of trying to find the reality in these fantastic stories. That’s what we do.”
