Clay Pirates cross swords in new Band of Misfits trailer

It’s nice to see that in this digital age, some folks are still sticking with the tried and true moviemaking tactics of old.

We don’t see many claymation films these days, but when we do, they’re usually from Peter Lord of CHICKEN RUN and WALLACE AND GROMIT fame. He’s moving to the high seas with THE PIRATES! BAND OF MISFITS, and a new trailer for the film is below.

It looks like a fun time, and I’m sure if you’re a fan of his previous films ,you’ll appreciate this one. Though we do have stop motion films like CORALINE and THE FANTASTIC MR. FOX, claymation is well, all clay, and a lot harder to pull off. This wouldn’t have been anywhere near as charming in CGI.
