Cody brings zombies

JoBloJoBlo

Diablo Cody will produce (but not write) a big-screen adaptation of the upcoming novel BREATHERS. The story revolves around a recently deceased everyman who has difficulty making the adjustment to his new existence before he goes to an undead anonymous meeting and falls in love.

It’s obviously good news because just like there aren’t enough Barack Obama poster parodies, there really aren’t enough zombie movies. What would make this even better was if it transpired the zombie thing was really a metaphor for lost and kindred souls. Because there is nothing I appreciate and respect more than when Romero makes a movie about zombies eating people that is actually about the war. Because you watch it and you think it’s just about zombies, but actually it’s about the war. It’s actually really smart.
