Their next film, NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN, hasn’t been released yet and their follow-up to that, BURN AFTER READING, hasn’t even started filming yet, but the Coens have already lined up their next-next film. Titled A SERIOUS MAN little is known about the film other than it will be written, produced and directed by the Coens and it will be similar in themes to FARGO. SERIOUS MAN is set up at Focus Features and Working Title Pictures (HOT FUZZ) where the Coens recently set up a two-picture deal (BURN will be the first pic in that deal). You gotta give the Coens credit cause while some of their auteur brethren are taking their dear sweet time in between projects, the Coens continue to crank stuff out. Some is hit (THE BIG LEBOWSKI) and some is miss (THE LADYKILLERS). NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN, which stars Tommy Lee Jones, Javier Bardem and Josh Brolin is set for release this fall after a premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. BURN AFTER READING, with George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Frances McDormand begins filming this summer.
