Confirmed: Larry Fishburne will star in Steven Soderbergh’s Contagion!

On April Fool’s Day of this year we heard rumblings that Larry Fishburne was set to join the cast of Steven Soderbergh’s deadly virus picture CONTAGION. Today, July 9th, it’s been confirmed by Variety: Fishburne will add to the already impressive ensemble that includes Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, Marion Cotillard and Gwyneth Paltrow (below). Now that’s a whole lotta female cooties I’d love to catch!

From a script by Scott Z. Burns, CONTAGION will weave multiple storylines together, spanning multiple continents, as a deadly viral outbreak that threatens human existence. Fishburne, who went to great lengths to clear is CSI TV schedule, will play Doctor Ellis Cheever assigned to quell the spread of the infection. Sounds right up Larry’s alley, ay?
