Check this out, Jason Voorhees fans: We’ve got over 15 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage from Marcus Nispel’s FRIDAY THE 13th! It comes from Monsters HD and pretty much gives you as much footage of Jason – as well as his victims – hanging out on set as you can take.
Be warned however – if you haven’t seen the film yet, this footage spoils a whole lot. I actually still haven’t seen it. At this point, I don’t know if I will before it’s available on DVD…
While it made a killing opening weekend ($40 million in three days), FRIDAY THE 13th fell a startling 80% in its second frame, only gathering $7 million. Of course, we all knew this one would be front-loaded, but this is nothing short of a devestating drop-off. (In fact, it’s the 7th biggest of all time.) Don’t weep for Platinum Dunes and friends though – the flick supposedly only cost $19 million to make, so it’s already profitable, with more to come on DVD…
