Cool Horror Videos: Ghostbusters proton streams you can make at home!

Ever wanted to recreate the awesome proton pack stream from the GHOSTBUSTERS films? Of course you have. This fellow Joey Shanks, with the help of PBS Digital Studios, has figured out a way to do it with a minimum of expenditure and an ample amount of ingenuity. Indeed, he seems to have many of the necessary tools at the ready – including the proton pack itself – but the act of creating the stream is not as difficult as you may imagine.

A quick blurb from his YouTube page, Shanks FX:

We used an assortment of flash lights and used light painting techniques. Most of the images were captured with a 4 second exposure at F22.
