Lizze Gordon, who worked as screenwriter, co-producer, and cast member on the recent horror film COVEN (which you can watch at THIS LINK), was supposed to get married this year, but the world had other plans. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Gordon's wedding had to be cancelled. The wedding date didn't pass by without anything special happening, though. Gordon decided to make that the release date for her short film HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS, which she directed from a script she wrote with Shannon Bengston.
Bengston, Jennifer Cipolla, and Mason Dodson star in the short. Inspired by the engagement pictures Han Tiger Whitesides took of Gordon and her husband-to-be (you can see one of those below), it has the following synopsis:
A couple tries to reignite their passion on vacation, and come to realize that work doesn't have to be a distraction from their relationship if they work together.
Quick and quirky, with a bit of violence and gore, HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS is just 4 minutes long, and it's a fun way to pass the time. Gordon did a great job on this, I look forward to seeing what she'll do next and wish her luck when it comes to choosing the new date for her wedding.
