As David Fincher’s awesome GONE GIRL is coming out in theaters today (do I really need to tell you to go see it?), I thought this would be a good opportunity to travel back in time a bit – well, almost 20 years – and take a look at movie that put the man on the map. I’m talking about SE7EN, of course. Yes, I know ALIEN 3 came first, but let’s be honest here: if he had never directed another movie after that, we wouldn’t have been incredibly surprised. SE7EN is when he announced himself as a bold, innovative voice in cinema.

Here’s a SE7EN featurette from 1995; in all its 90s glory, it’s a bit cheesy, but it’s a nice, brief look behind-the-scenes of one of the great modern horror movies. Quality is a bit low-res, but what can you do, it’s still worth a look.
