“Under the Dome” returns to CBS at the end of June, and to get you prepped for your Chester’s Mill travel plans, EW has an exclusive video of Stephen King himself reading the opening scene from Season Two. King wrote the ep, so it’s certainly cool to hear the Master read his own work. The scene in question focuses on “Sam,” a new character played by Eddie Cahill (pictured below the video).

Here’s the synopsis for the first episode of Season Two, titled “Heads Will Roll”:

Barbie’s fate lies in Big Jim’s hands, and the Dome presents a new threat when it becomes magnetized. Meanwhile, Julia seeks out the help of a stranger to save the life of a mysterious girl who may hold clues to origin of the Dome.

“Under the Dome” premieres on June 30th. CBS will air the one hour special “Under the Dome: Inside Chester’s Mill” on June 23rd.
