Cool Horror Videos: Universal releases a trailer for Jaws 19

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

In BACK TO THE FUTURE PART II, Marty McFly travels thirty years into the future from 1985, arriving in 2015 on October 21st. While taking in the futuristic sights, Marty finds himself outside a theatre showing a newly released holographic film: JAWS 19, directed by Steven Spielberg's son Max. The tagline – "This time it's really REALLY personal."

BTTF2 came out in 1989, just two years after the release of JAWS: THE REVENGE, so it was reasonable for the filmmakers to expect that Universal would keep chumming out sequels to Spielberg's 1975 hit. But, like the flying cars featured in the film, the existence of JAWS 19 is a BTTF2 prediction that has not come true.

To make up for the fact that they've been slacking on the JAWS front for nearly thirty years, Universal has now released a fun official trailer for JAWS 19 that catches us up on all the installments we've missed between THE REVENGE and part 19. If only we really had these films in our lives…
