Back in March, our champagne of beers swilling madman Ammon gave y’all a look at a sick poster for Jay Woelfel’s killer carnival flick CLOSED FOR THE SEASON. Well, we’ve got a serious question to ask: you like the new poster for the flick we just scored (below) or the one Ammon dosed y’all with? I kinda like the new one, dunno…I was instantly blasted with shades of Tobe Hooper’s criminally underrated THE FUNHOUSE. Take a peek and let us know!

Written by Woelfel himself, CLOSED FOR THE SEASON tells the story of Kristy (Aimee Brooks, below), who finds herself trapped inside a decaying, abandoned amusement park, with James (Damien Maffei), son of the park’s caretakers. The pair finds themselves being tormented by a mysterious carny (Joe Unger) and the long discarded and decrepit attractions of the park.

Just lovely! Again, if this bastard has any of the eerie flare Hooper’s 1981 flick had, I’m completely sold!

In addition, Will Waters, Alex Gabrielsen, Mike Nugent, Bob Watson, Jim Grega, Will Kinghorn, Russ Wisniewski, Stephanie Anne Rose, Bob Duecker and Marty Swiatkowski all take part in the film.

CLOSED FOR THE SEASON made its public premiere two days ago a Monstermania, but since has been tightened up a bit. The flick is now being repped by Artist View Entertainment at the Cannes Film Market.

Word is the flick has a scheduled screening in Indianapolis July 9-11 at the MONSTERS OF THE MIDLAND convention.

More as we capture it!
