Cool Video: “Cordyceps-Infected Ant on TV” Easter Egg in The Last of Us

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

So this is neat! YouTuber and Let's Player Anthony Caliber has just uploaded a recent video titled, "'Cordyceps-Infected Ant on TV' Easter Egg in The Last of Us", where Caliber finds an Easter Egg in the original 2013 The Last of Us game for the PS3, which foreshadows the eventual apocalyptic Codyceps outbreak. You can watch him find the Egg in the video at the top of the article!

Even more fascinating is how well-hidden the Egg is (to the point it took almost a decade to be discovered), and involves loading and reloading save data to trigger a hidden checkpoint during the prologue. It's curious why the developers made it so hard to see, but it's still pretty cool nonetheless.

So what do you guys think? Fans of The Last of Us? Also, what are some of your favorite hidden Easter Eggs in games? Either way, sound off below!
