Cool Videos: Andrew Garfield sings and plays the Spider-man theme song

JoBloJoBlo

As Andrew Garfield makes the press rounds for THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2, the star of the superhero sequel is bound to be asked to do goofy things all in the name of promoting the film. During a visit to THE TONIGHT SHOW, Jimmy Fallon asked Garfield about his recent hobby of learning to play guitar and prompted the actor to play a song for the audience. Garfield begrudgingly agreed and belts out a pretty damn good rendition of the theme song to the old Spider-man television series.

Obviously, this entire stunt was staged, but it does not demean Garfield’s playing or singing chops. He may not be Hugh Jackman, but Garfield can certainly hold his own in the musical realm. It is also nice to see someone with a little more personality taking on the role as Tobey Maguire, as great an actor as he is, always seemed to have the interest of a wet noodle.

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 is now playing everywhere.
