This past summer, JAWS: LIVE! was a stage show put on in Austin, Texas, by the Old Murder House Theatre. Reenacting Steven Spielberg‘s classic, with a few tweaks here and there, the production is everything you would want it to be and more – half-passionate homage, half-parody and all-wild and crazy fun. And now a package of what the show was like has made its way online for all of us to live vicariously through those lucky attendees who managed to witness this in person.
In the past, the same group has performed JURASSIC PARK: LIVE!, ROBOCOP: LIVE!, BACK TO THE FUTURE: LIVE!. and ALIENS ON ICE!, so heading in, you should know what you’re getting. It is a thing of low-budget beauty that goes to show you don’t need a lot of money to pull off a vision like this – simply a shared love for something and a bunch of people who are game to make it happen.
