Cool Videos: The Dark Knight Rises trailer recut, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo style.

While I continue to replay the various teasers and trailers for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, it is very hard to argue that they all show pretty much the same footage. As I drool over each individual new film cell that Christopher Nolan allows to be released, I still have to go to multiple videos to see them all.

Intrepid YouTuber Steven Greenstreet has not only solved my conundrum but he has cut a new trailer for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES that mimics the now iconic teaser for David Fincher’s THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO. The result looks like it was always meant for the final Nolan Batman film. I have watched this video half a dozen times now and it works perfectly each and every time.

Were you not entertained?

I put it to you, my fellow Schmoes, to cut trailers for pretty much any movie using the format and music from THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO trailer. Everything from NOTTING HILL to ARMAGEDDON to THE KING’S SPEECH. They all automatically look badass set to “Immigrant Song.”

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES opens July 20th.
