COOL VIDEOS: Willy Wonka Remix

I love WILLY WONKA & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY. It is one of the films that always takes me back to my childhood. I vividly remember being horrified by Mr. Slugworth and hiding under my bed when The Tinker gives his ominous warning that “no one ever goes in, no one ever comes out.”

It was the absolute perfect performance by Gene Wilder that makes the movie as everlasting as one of Willy Wonka’s gobstoppers. He chews every single scene that he is in and plays the character to a creepy perfection. While I admire Johnny Depp’s take on the character, Burton’s remake just never clicked for me the way Mel Stuart’s did.

I am also a big fan of remixes.  I still listen to the techno version of Christian Bale’s rant as if it were an actual song.  When I stumbled onto this remix of the closing scene in WILLY WONKA & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, I immediately wanted a copy for my listening pleasure.  I must have watched this at least ten times today and enjoy it more each time.  Just like the movie itself.
