Having recently wrapped principal photography on YOUTH WITHOUT YOUTH, Francis Ford Coppola is wasting no time getting back into the director’s chair. He’ll soon be heading to Buenos Aires, Argentina to start production on the drama TETRO. Directing from his own script, the film will star Matt Dillon as part of an immigrant family crippled by generation upon generation of bitter rivalries. As he did with YOUTH, Coppola will finance the film himself and look for distribution once the film is complete. And speaking of distribution, when can we expect YOUTH to be released? Coppola only mentioned that it would be in the latter half of 2007, though he’s yet to lock domestic distribution.
