The prequel is serving as the origin story for the character named Frankenstein, a convicted cop killer in a declining American Empire where a racing reality show is about to be born in the country’s corrupt prison system.
For a straight-to-DVD prequel DEATH RACE 2 is sporting a pretty impressive cast that includes Luke Goss, Ving Rhames, Danny Trejo, Sean Bean, Lauren Cohan, Tanit Phoenix (below) and Frederick Koehler. This shite hits DVD shelves in the UK on December 27th. No word on a US release but that news should be coming our way soon!
