Today we have the new trailer for CREATION, the Charles Darwin biopic starring Paul Bettany. The film portrays Darwin as a doting husband and father, torn between his love for his deeply religious wife and his own growing belief in evolutionary theory, which he would later print in his explosive book “On the Origin of the Species”.
I’m not sure what Darwin’s wife actually looked like in real life but it seems like an unnecessary addition by the filmmakers here, to cast Jennifer Connelly in that role. As if he needed more distractions from his work, you want to give him a smoking hot wife too? Why don’t you just give him an Xbox while you’re at it?
