The upcoming Rocky spinoff, Creed III, is getting into the season’s spirit with a new family-oriented poster. The new print features Michael B. Jordan (Adonis Creed), Tessa Thompson (Bianca Creed), and Mila Davis-Kent (Amara Creed) ringside for a family photo that will keep you warm in the squared circle. In addition to the new Creed III poster, MGM is reminding fans not to miss an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of Creed III in IMAX theaters this weekend. The presentation arrives online the following Monday if you cannot make it to an IMAX theater.

Michael B. Jordan directs Creed III from a story by Ryan Coogler, Keenan Coogler, and Zach Baylin. Keenan Coogler and Baylin wrote the screenplay. Creed III continues the story of Adonis Creed, the son of Apollo Creed, who trained under the legendary Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone). After dominating the boxing world, Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan) thrived in his career and family. When a childhood friend and former boxing prodigy, Damian (Jonathan Majors), resurfaces after serving a long sentence in prison, he is eager to prove that he deserves his shot in the ring. The face-off between former friends is more than just a fight. To settle the score, Adonis must put his future on the line to battle Damian – a fighter with nothing to lose.

Joining Jordan, Thompson, and Davis-Kent in Creed III are Jonathan Majors, Wood Harris, Florian Munteanu, and Phylicia Rashad. The threequel marks Jordan’s directorial debut.

Speaking with Empire, Jordan says he sought advice from Denzel Washington and Bradley Cooper about how to command the camera from the director’s chair.

“I was pretty anxious going into it, wondering what that would be like. Who’s calling action and cut? Is that me?! Talking with Denzel [Washington] and Bradley Cooper and others who have directed themselves, they told me you have to find your groove and your pace with your first AD and actors. But it’s also like having a superpower: within your performance, you can also direct. It saves some time in some areas because you get a chance to self-correct in the moment. So that’s a liberating experience to have. It became fun after a while.”

Creed III will land an uppercut on audiences in theaters and IMAX on March 3, 2023.
