CSI: NY’s Hill Harper joins cast of Blumhouse’s The Boy Next Door

In early September we shared the news that Jennifer Lopez was teaming up with the most profitable man in horror today, Jason Blum, to make the micro-budget thriller THE BOY NEXT DOOR, a FATAL ATTRACTION-esque tale to be directed by Rob Cohen (THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS). We later learned that Kristin Chenoweth, John Corbett and Ryan Guzman had also joined the ever-growing cast list for the thriller (with Guzman playing the titular role), and today we have word that "CSI: NY" and "Covert Affairs" actor Hill Harper has just signed on to play the principal at Guzman's characters school, according to THR.

Cohen will direct the microbudget thriller from a script by Barbara Curry. Jason Blum, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina and John Jacobs are producing, with Zac Unterman executive producing. Universal will distribute the pic as a part of the studio's first-look deal with Blumhouse. The film is currently in production.

The film stars Jennifer Lopez as a newly separated mother who finds herself attracted to the teenage boy who moves in next door and befriends her son. But when she wants to stop their illicit romance, he’s not ready to let her go.

Well, who could blame the kid? Look at that picture below! I wouldn't be ready to let her go, either!
