CW developing Arrow/Flash spinoff series starring Brandon Routh & others

Last month it was reported that The CW was eyeing an Arrow spinoff series based on Brandon Routh's Ray Palmer/The Atom, and now Deadline has learned a spinoff is indeed in the works, however it won't just focus on Routh's character.

According to the site, The CW is developing what is being described as a superhero team-up show featuring characters from both Arrow and The Flash, including The Atom, Leonard Snart/Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Dr. Martin Stein (Victor Garber). Routh, Miller and Garber will reprise their roles from The CW series, and the spinoff will also star Arrow's Caity Lotz, although it's not clear who she will be playing. And in case you're wondering, Deadline's report doesn't mention Robbie Amell's Ronnie Raymond from The Flash, but there's a good chance he'll appear on the currently untitled series as well.

In addition, the site also says the project will feature "three major DC Comics characters who have never appeared in a TV series." Sarah Schechter and Arrow creators Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim are attached to the spinoff as executive producers, and the series could premiere during next year's TV midseason.

Are you pumped for another live-action comic book television series, and which other DC characters would you like to see appear on The CW's Arrow/The Flash spinoff?
