Following the news that actors Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Kristofer Hivju, Idris Elba, and Olga Kurylenko are among the many thousands of people who have contracted the Coronavirus COVID-19 worldwide, Daniel Dae Kim has revealed that he has also tested positive for the virus.
Kim is probably best known for playing the role of Jin-Soo Kwon in the television series Lost and Chin Ho Kelly on the Hawaii Five-O update. His credits also include episodes of Angel, Star Trek: Enterprise, and 24, as well as the films INSURGENT, ALLEGIANT, and last year's version of HELLBOY.
Ready for a fight? I am.
Yesterday I was diagnosed with COVID-19, the disease caused by the #coronavirus. I posted something on my Instagram page if you’d like to hear a little about my experience.— Daniel Dae Kim (@danieldaekim) March 19, 2020
In an odd coincidence, it seems that Kim contracted COVID-19 while he was in New York working on a show in which he plays a doctor who helps people during a flu pandemic.
Kim says he's "ready for a fight", but thankfully it looks like he's going to make it through this okay. We hope he'll be making a full recovery very quickly.
