Daniel Dae Kim of Lost and Hellboy has contracted COVID-19

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Following the news that actors Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Kristofer Hivju, Idris Elba, and Olga Kurylenko are among the many thousands of people who have contracted the Coronavirus COVID-19 worldwide, Daniel Dae Kim has revealed that he has also tested positive for the virus.

Kim is probably best known for playing the role of Jin-Soo Kwon in the television series Lost and Chin Ho Kelly on the Hawaii Five-O update. His credits also include episodes of Angel, Star Trek: Enterprise, and 24, as well as the films INSURGENT, ALLEGIANT, and last year's version of HELLBOY.

In an odd coincidence, it seems that Kim contracted COVID-19 while he was in New York working on a show in which he plays a doctor who helps people during a flu pandemic.

Kim says he's "ready for a fight", but thankfully it looks like he's going to make it through this okay. We hope he'll be making a full recovery very quickly.
