Y’all familiar with Danish filmmaker Ole Bornedal? You know, the guy who brought us the underrated 1997 thriller NIGHTWATCH? Well, looks like dude is gearing up to take a tour through some kind of SLAUGHTERHOUSE!

According to Screen Daily, Bornedal will direct SLAUGHTERHOUSE DYBBøL (Slagtebænk Dybbøl), a DKK 90m ($14.9m) double feature based on Danish author Tom Buk-Swienty’s award-winning book. Sounds groovy!

No details surrounding Buk-Swienty’s tome have been unearthed, but given Bornedal’s dark and sometimes sinister repertoire (including his latest feature DELIVER US FROM EVIL), I have faith this sumbitch will be something to keep a watchful eye on. I mean, if you recall how surprisingly suspenseful that one Laundromat scene between Ewan Mcregor and Nick Nolte was the first time you saw it, than you know Bornedal has the chops to make a decent thriller. And what’s not to love about a double feature getting made in this day and age (even if abroad)?!?

Stay up for more!
