Danny DeVito to join Eva Green in Tim Burton’s Dumbo

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

It was only a few days ago that we learned Eva Green might be signing on for Tim Burton's DUMBO, and now we have another name to add to that list; Danny DeVito. Deadline reports that the It's Always Sunny star is currently in negotiations to play Medici, a man who runs a small circus that is acquired by the villain of the film, Vandemere. Deadline went on to say that Eva Green would play Colette, a French trapeze artist who works for Vandemere. Something tells me DeVito won't be as vulgar as we're used to seeing him…

Like it or not, Disney certainly seems to be going all-in with their live-action adaptations At the very least they're looking hand-picking some talented individuals to direct. While Tim Burton, arguably, hasn't made anything with substance in some time, DUMBO sounds like it could be right up his alley. I can't say I'm confident of whatever script Ehren Kruger (TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION) has turned in, but it's a little too early dismiss at this point.
