Friend to Arrow in the Head and all-around cool motherf*cker, Dante Tomaselli (SATAN’S PLAYGROUND) has just announced (at long last!) that his latest horror show, TORTURE CHAMBER, is officially going into production later this month in New York and New Jersey. WE’ve been writing up the flick for quite a while now, so it’s good to see that Tomaselli has not given up on it, and is finally ready to move forward!

We’ve also got a pretty sweet piece of art to go along with the news – love the retro look! Here’s what this sucker is about:
13-year-old Jimmy Morgan is possessed by an evil too powerful to be exorcised by any priest. One year after his own brother, Father Mark Morgan, nearly died in the attempt, Jimmy is back with a vengeance—and an army of horribly burned children who follow his every murderous desire. The town of Smithville trembles in fear as Jimmy and his deadly young followers attack and abduct its residents—innocent and guilty alike—dragging their victims to an abandoned castle and subjecting them to grisly torments deep within its catacombs. Those who discover the terrible secret behind the disappearances and deaths don’t live long enough to tell it. The teacher, the doctor, the detective, even Jimmy’s own brother and mother, will all confront their fates in the Torture Chamber.

The flick stars Vincent Pastore (The Sopranos), Ed Neal (Texas Chainsaw Massacre), Lynn Lowry (The Crazies), Marilyn Burns (Texas Chainsaw Massacre) and Christie Sanford (Desecration).

In a statement, Tomaselli let it be known that he’s not fooling around – he wants to make you shit your panties! “In terms of outright fear, I want to push the envelope right off the table. Religious fanaticism…eternal damnation. This is a film about peeling back layers of pain and guilt buried in the unconscious mind. At the core, there’s a family in deep psychic pain. It’s the first serious independent horror film in a long time that’s in the vein of The Exorcist. Torture Chamber aims to be one of the scariest horror movies of recent years.”
