Dark Angel (Jessica Alba & James Cameron) – Gone But Not Forgotten

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Remember Y2K? Yes, yes, for a while in the late nineties a surprising number of people thought all computer systems would go haywire at the stroke of midnight as we went from 1999 to 2000. It didn’t happen, but the hysteria surrounding it inspired none other than James Cameron and Charles H. Eglee to come up with DARK ANGEL, a Fox TV series set in a world where an electromagnetic pulse has destroyed every computer in America.

It would serve as the launching pad for young Jessica Alba, who starred as the genetically enhanced heroine, Max Guevara, aka X5-452. An interesting precursor to ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL, the show only ran for two seasons on Fox, but has maintained a cult following ever since. So join us at Gone But Not Forgotten as we take a look back at this fun, sci-fi cult hit.
