Dave Bautista in talks to star in M. Night Shyamalan’s next movie

M. Night Shyamalan has enjoyed quite the comeback. After skyrocketing to fame with The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, and Signs, the director fell from grace with a series of poorly reviewed movies. Stepping away from the bigger budget studio films seemed to be the best thing for M. Night Shyamalan and it wasn’t long before he was back in action. Following the release of Old, Shyamalan was quick to announce his next film and Deadline has reported that Dave Bautista is in talks set to star.

The latest M. Night Shyamalan film goes by Knock at the Cabin and will be written and directed by Shyamalan. According to Deadline, Dave Bautista was “quick to jump at the opportunity” to work with M. Night Shyamalan. In keeping with tradition, we don’t know all that much about Knock at the Cabin just yet, but it’s a fair bet that we can expect a little mystery. Knock at the Cabin is already set for a February 3, 2023 release.

Dave Bautista was most recently seen as Glossu Rabban in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune and will reprise the role for Dune: Part Two. The actor has plenty of projects on the horizon, including playing Drax the Destroyer in Thor: Love and Thunder on July 8, 2022 and in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 on May 5, 2023. He also recently wrapped Knives Out 2, the sequel to Rian Johnson’s highly successful whodunit starring Daniel Craig as Detective Benoit Blanc. Bautista also willed a buddy action/comedy with Jason Momoa into existence which was later picked up by MGM. The project is set to be penned by Jonathan Tropper and is based on an original idea from Bautista, Momoa, and Tropper. Dave Bautista, even without the latest movie from director Shymalan, is one crazy busy dude.
