The CW’s Arrowverse is showing no signs of slowing down after a decade. The network announced today that a new Arrowverse series is in development that will star David Ramsey.

David Ramsey, who played John Diggle on Arrow and went on to appear in a number of Arrowverse shows, will take on the leading role in Justice U. After years of fighting alongside masked heroes, Diggle embarks on a new mission to recruit five young meta humans to live undercover as freshmen at a prestigious university. There he will oversee their education and train them to become the heroes of tomorrow. In addition to starring in the Arrowverse series, David Ramsey will also direct the pilot if it’s picked up. Ramsey has plenty of experience in the Arrowverse director’s chair, having helmed episodes of Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, Batwoman, and Superman & Lois.

Justice U is being developed by Superman & Lois co-executive producer Michael Narducci, who has also worked on The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, as well as Grey’s Anatomy executive producer Zoanne Clack. The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman are currently in the midst of their latest seasons, with Superman & Lois recently kicking off its second season. Justice U isn’t the only DC series in development over at The CW as they’re also working on Gotham Knights. The series will take place in the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder as his rebellious adopted son forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader. And as the city’s most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names. But in a Gotham with no Dark Knight to protect it, the city descends into the most dangerous it’s ever been. The series isn’t a spin-off of Batwoman, but it’s not clear how, or if, it will fit into the Arrowverse.
