Is there anyone out there not really feeling the lot of theatrical horror films populating movie-houses right now? Anyone out there with an addiction to good old halcyon horror? Well, lucky folks in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area can enjoy a rare public screening of George A. Romero’s perhaps best zombie flick DAWN OF THE DEAD this weekend at the Steel City Zombie Trick or Treat event.

Not cool enough for you? Well how about an appearance by the original Machete Zombie in the 1978 film (played by Leonard Lies).

When: At 7:00 PM Halloween night, that’s when.

Where: The Hollywood Theater located at 1449 Potomac Avenue in Dormont (15216), Pennsylvania.

Not only that, a kickass raffle has been in effect since last Thursday (Oct.22) where YOU can win a horde of cool shit including one of two Machete Zombie baskets donated by Lies containing a T-shirt, signed photo, Goblin CD soundtrack, comic book with Machete Zombie on the cover, a signed machete, and anything else his severed mind can think of. The drawings will take place following the movie on October 31.

The event will also boast a costume contest with a prize for the Best Steelers Zombie, a zombie movie trivia contest, prizes and giveaways. Visit the theater website for info on the raffle

Still not enough? Consider the follow-up Halloween night screenings: BLACK CHRISTMAS (at 9:30 Pm) and THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW (at midnight).

Tickets to the event will run adults $6, $4 for children and seniors.
