Dawn of the Dead remake 2-Disc Collector’s Edition coming this Halloween

There are a lot of horror remakes that split the genre community down the middle.

Some think that Marcus Nispel's remake of THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE is crap. Those people are wrong. And some folks believe Craig Gillespie's FRIGHT NIGHT remake is a waste of digital celluloid. It isn't. But one remake most fans agree is up to the task of the original is 2004's DAWN OF THE DEAD remake from director Zack Synder and writer James Gunn.

If you are one of those peeps that think the DAWN OF THE DEAD remake is all that and a dead zombie baby (I don't care for the flick myself) then you will be pleased as a sucker punch to hear that Scream Factory is set to release a new 2-Disc Collector's Edition this October. Along with the LAND OF THE DEAD Collector's Edition, we told you about yesterday!

While the new edition's special features haven't been announced yet, Scream Factory assures us that there WILL be new bonus materials on the 2-disc set, which by the way, will include both the rated and unrated versions of the flick.

You can check out the new cover art (by Nathaniel Marsh) below and then make sure to let us know what YOU think of 2004's DAWN OF THE DEAD remake on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!

DAWN OF THE DEAD (2004) synopsis:

A nurse, a policeman, a young married couple, a salesman, and other survivors of a worldwide plague that is producing aggressive, flesh-eating zombies, take refuge in a mega Midwestern shopping mall.

DAWN OF THE DEAD is directed by Zack Snyder from a script by James Gunn. The film stars Sarah Polley, Ving Rhames, Jake Weber, Mekhi Phifer, Ty Burrell, Kevin Zegers, and Lindy Booth.
