CHIPS, somewhat based on the show of the same name, follows the adventures of two California Highway Patrol motorcycle officers as they make their rounds on the freeways of Los Angeles. As with 21 JUMP STREET and BAYWATCH, CHIPS looks to take a classic TV show formula and spin it into more of a comedic venture. This time around, Dax Shepard will be writing, directing AND starring alongside Michael Pena. You can check the duo out in the first image below!

Dax Shepard on why CHIPS will be rated R:

There’s female nudity. There’s more me nudity than probably any other nudity. And then yeah, there’s a lot of adult material and sexual stuff and naughty language.

I'd be lying if I said that I knew this movie was in existence, let alone coming out in 3 months' time. I imagine we'll see a trailer pretty soon unless Warner Bros. decides to push this one back. I have no connection to the original show, so I'm open to see what Dax has in-store for us. If that includes nudity, well, I'd say he's on the right track!

CHIPS aims to hit theaters on March 24, 2017.
