Denis Villeneuve‘s Dune adaptation has release date pushed back

In a completely unsuprising turn of events, Warner Bros. has pushed back the release date for Denis Villeneuve's epic sci-fi DUNE adaptation from December 18th of this year to October 1st, 2021. This is of course due to the continued pandemic and uncertainty of when theaters will be legally allowed to open nationwide.

Meanwhile, DUNE stars Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Oscar Isaac, Rebecca Ferguson, Jason Momoa, Josh Brolin, and Dave Bautista. Here's the official synopsis:

A mythic and emotionally charged hero’s journey, Dune tells the story of Paul Atreides, a brilliant and gifted young man born into a great destiny beyond his understanding, who must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people. As malevolent forces explode into conflict over the planet’s exclusive supply of the most precious resource in existence—a commodity capable of unlocking humanity’s greatest potential—only those who can conquer their fear will survive.

So what do you guys think? Still excited for DUNE? If so, willing to wait until next year? Either way, sound off below!
