Earlier today, we told you about Martin Scorsese signing with Universal to direct a biopic of ‘Ol Blue Eyes himself Frank Sinatra. Now who do you suppose Scorsese wants to portray the iconic singer? None other than Leonardo DiCaprio, of course. Scorsese, after all, has a lifelong man-crush on Leo D. According to Nikki Finke at Deadline Hollywood Daily, however, Universal isn’t having it. They’re loving them some Johnny Depp, especially after seeing his work in PUBLIC ENEMIES and want Depp to play Sinatra. And as much as Scorsese clearly wants to live in a world where DiCaprio plays every part in every movie, there’s no reason for him to reject the Depp who, like DiCpario, is immensely talented and A-list. Hell, he might develop a little man-crush. What, the guy’s dreamy!
