Design for Stellan Skarsgård’s Baron Harkonnen revealed via toy!

Denis Villeneuve's upcoming epic adaptation of DUNE is one of the most highly-anticipated movies in recent memory, but due to having only one (albeit long) trailer so far, we don't know too much about it. Hell, we barely got a half-second glimpse at its main antagonist, the cruel and vile Baron Harkonnen played by Stellan Skarsgard!

But now, thanks to McFarlane toys, we have a full view of him (in toy form). Check it out below!

Has a very "HELLRAISER" look to me, and confirms that he'll be as bulbous as he was described in the book and seen in previous film/TV adaptations (so much so that he needs anti-gravity devices to even move around). This also confirms what Skarsgard said in interviews about needing to be in the make-up chair for 7-8 hours every day before shooting!

Anyway, here's the official synopsis for the film:

In the far future of humanity, Duke Leto Atreides accepts stewardship of the dangerous desert planet Arrakis, also known as Dune, the only source of the most valuable substance in the universe, "the spice", a drug which extends human life, provides superhuman levels of thought, and makes faster-than-light travel possible. Though Leto knows the opportunity is an intricate trap set by his enemies, he takes his Bene Gesserit concubine Lady Jessica, young son and heir Paul, and most trusted advisers to Arrakis. Leto takes control of the spice mining operation, which is made perilous by the presence of giant sandworms. A bitter betrayal leads Paul and Jessica to the Fremen, natives of Arrakis who live in the deep desert.

Meanwhile, star-studded DUNE adaptation is still expected to spice up theaters December 18th…but we'll keep you updated if there are any delays or changes.

So what do you guys think? Like the design? If so, is it enough to buy the figure? Either way, sound off below!
