There’s gotta be a good number of us waiting to unwrap Chris Nolan’s brain-busting INCEPTION from under the tree in a couple days, right?!? So to those who haven’t copped the disc yet (be it on DVD or Blu-ray), don’t fret…’cause Warner Bros. just issued a sweet behind-the-scenes featurette for the film, which is easily one of the best of the year. Get after that bastard below!
In all honesty, the featurette combines some interview footage we’ve seen before, then adds in some new insight from Chris Nolan, Leo DiCaprio, Marion Cotillard (below) and Michael Caine. It also hypes the film’s four Golden Globe nominations…this could be more of a “For Your Consideration” reminder to all those short-minded Academy voters. With good right, I don’t see how INCEPTION is not one of the top ten films of the year. Do you?
INCEPTION centers on Dom Cobb (Leo), a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb’s rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption.
One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible-inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime.
