Well, John McClane himself, Bruce Willis drops the bomb that DIE HARD 5 could start shooting as early as next year. Whammy!

MTV not really pressing for any news on a next installment (yeah, right), asked Willis if any character he did related to law enforcement would be compared to McClane. After saying that the mythology continues to grow, Willis just goes ahead and gives them what they want to hear. He would also hire Len Wiseman to direct the fifth installment.
So where will the next film take us? “Well it’s got to go worldwide,” Willis concludes.
