Not cool, Dimension, not cool. Two rather big horror flicks on Dimension Films’ slate have just been delayed by the studio with no word on when we’ll actually be able to see them as they have removed both Franck Khalfoun’s AMITYVILLE: THE AWAKENING and the James Wan-presented DEMONIC from their release schedule. Poof.
I wouldn’t get too bent out of shape over this news, though, as the decision to axe their release dates could be for any number of reasons. I am surprised, however, to see AMITYVILLE getting delayed because they've already hyped it up with a trailer.
DEMONIC, starring Maria Bello and Frank Grillo, was to be released this December while AMITYVILLE: THE AWAKENING previously had a release date set for January 2, 2015. We’ll be sure to keep you guys up to date on both of these titles so keep an eye here for more as we get it. Bummer!
