Disney has another movie re-imagining of a classic fairy tale in the works. According to Variety, the studio has picked up a spec script from BIG MOMMAS: LIKE FATHER LIKE SON screenwriter Matt Fogel for a live-action Prince Charming movie, and Mandeville Films and Tripp Vinson are attached to produce. There aren't any plot details or any word on which prince the film might follow, however sources say the story will be told from the perspective of his brother, who has yet to live up to the family name. So what, the Charming sibling's family nags him because he doesn't make out with sleeping princesses?

The comedy does sound a little absurd, but I think a lot is going to depend on the tone of the script and the execution of the material. It could potentially be a fun movie if done right, perhaps in the same vein as as ENCHANTED or INTO THE WOODS. I know the latter is based on the Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine Broadway musical, but you get my point.

Do you have any interest at all in checking out the planned film, and who would you want to play Prince Charming and his brother?
