Paul Walker left several completed films after his untimely passing including the English language remake of the French action movie DISTRICT B13. The original film was a cult favorite when it was released in 2006. The new film was in limbo since Walker’s death but now Relativity and EuropaCorp have decided on a release date this Summer.

The remake follows a similar plot to the original film but updated for American audiences.

BRICK MANSIONS is set in a dystopian Detroit with Walker playing an undercover cop who is tasked with going into a tenement named Brick Mansions in order to disarm a neutron bomb that is ticking down.

Starring Paul Walker and RZA, BRICK MANSIONS was originally slated for a February release but will now hit screen on April 25th. Also starring Catalina Denis and DISTRICT B13 star David Belle, the parkour-filled movie is directed by TAKEN 2 and THE TRANSPORTER 3 editor Camille Delamarre. It should fit your annual need for a Besson-style action movie.

There is no trailer for the film just yet, but enjoy the trailer for DISTRICT B13 below to get an idea of what is in store.
