Disturbing new Maniac clip brings the NSFW goods!

With every new piece of footage we see from MANIAC it becomes clearer and clearer that Elijah Wood should not be underestimated in the psycho department. With the first freaky six minutes from the film behind us, we’ve got a new look at Wood and his uncontrollable rage in a NSFW clip that features nudity and death. It’s not particularly bloody, but it sure isn’t pretty.

However, I can’t believe they’re actually using “Goodbye Horses” from SILENCE OF THE LAMBS. Don’t care if it’s a respectful homage, that song belongs to one movie and one movie alone.

Just when the streets seemed safe, a serial killer with a fetish for scalps is back and on the hunt. Frank is the withdrawn owner of a mannequin store, but his life changes when young artist Anna appears asking for his help with her new exhibition. As their friendship develops and Frank’s obsession escalates, it becomes clear that she has unleashed a long-repressed compulsion to stalk and kill.

IFC has not issued a release date for MANIAC in the states just yet; stay tuned.
