Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness gets some cool clothing tie-ins

Last Updated on January 5, 2022

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness isn’t scheduled to reach theatres until May 6, 2022, but the marketing machine is already revving up. The trailer is online, as you can see in the embed above, some tie-in action figures (like this one) are already up for pre-order, and now tie-in T-shirts and sweatshirts are starting to show up on Amazon! Some of this tie-in clothing boasts some very cool artwork, as you can see in the Twitter embeds below.

That tweet in Portuguese does indeed say that all of those shirt designs were found on Amazon. As proof, HERE‘s the Gargantos shirt, and the Scarlet Witch shirt can be found HERE.

We’ll have to wait and see how good Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness turns out to be (I have high hopes, given that it was directed by Sam Raimi), but the shirts look to be worth buying regardless.

Scripted by Jade Halley Bartlett and Loki head writer Michael Waldron, the film reportedly has the following synopsis (translated from a Japanese source):

The door of the multiverse, full of mystery and madness, opens.

Now that Iron Man and Captain America have left after a fierce battle in Avengers: Endgame, former genius surgeon and the strongest magician of them all, Doctor Strange, is expected to play an active role as a central figure in the Avengers. However, using his magic to manipulate time and space at will with a forbidden spell that is considered the most dangerous has opened the door to a mysterious madness called the Multiverse. To restore a world where everything is changing, Strange seeks help from his ally Wong, the Sorcerer Supreme, and the Avengers’ most powerful Scarlet Witch, Wanda. But a terrible threat looms over humanity and the entire universe that no longer can be done by their power alone. Even more surprising, the greatest threat in the universe looks exactly like Doctor Strange…

Director Sam Raimi, who has expressed a unique world view, will captivate the whole world with overwhelming scale and unprecedented visual experience that will transcend time and space!

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange. He and Gomez are joined in the cast by Benedict Wong as Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Mordo, Rachel McAdams as Christine Palmer, Michael Stuhlbarg as Nicodemus West, and Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch. Raimi regular Bruce Campbell is expected to make an appearance as well.

Are you gonna grab some Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness shirts and such?
