Does this poster for Michael Bay’s Pain and Gain get you pumped?

Is this a simple and relatively effective teaser poster? Yes. Is it a simple poster that communicates almost none of the drama/crazy true story behind the movie? Also yes.

PAIN AND GAIN is the story of “a pair of bodybuilders in Florida get caught up in an extortion ring and a kidnapping scheme that goes terribly wrong,” and set photos have revealed Dwayne Johnson barbecuing a human hand. So shit goes gonzo pretty quickly in this movie, and considering Michael Bay’s clout I hope we get some promotional art soon that reflects the dark turns Bay has boasted the story will take.

At least you can actually see what’s going on, unlike a lot of TRANSFORMERS art that just slapped up a complicated mess of robot machinery and called it a day.
