Despite ANNABELLE being a huge disappointment and her scariest attribute is being able to escape a trashcan, CHILD’S PLAY creator, Don Mancini, would like to see his nasty creation team up with her. “I can see that (even) in 20 years from now,” Mancini told USA Today, adding: “We would be into it, the only problem is that we are in different studios. That would probably be years worth of red tape to work it out,” says Mancini. “But if it all could be worked out, then yes, we’re very into it.” Okay, so that’s not exactly news but we did get one thing out of this that really caught our eye.
The article nonchalantly mentions that Mancini is currently writing the next installment in the franchise, putting it on the heels of CURSE OF CHUCKY which proved to be a huge success for Universal. So who knows, maybe ANNABELLE will make a cameo appearance in the next film where she’ll be sitting in the corner doing nothing. So while we wait for more details on the next Chucky flick, let’s think of a more interesting sidekick for him. Perhaps Woody from TOY STORY?
