Doug Bradley and Ashley Laurence to join Joe Bob Briggs on The Last Drive-In

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Chris Jericho co-hosting BLOOD SUCKING FREAKS. Tom Savini discussing MANIAC. Kelli Maroney talking about CHOPPING MALL. Lloyd and Pat Kaufman presenting TROMA'S WAR. The second season of Joe Bob Briggs' Shudder series has been packed with great guests, so it's fitting that the season finale will be ending things with a couple fan-favorite horror legends.

Doug Bradley, who played the genre icon Pinhead in eight HELLRAISER films, and HELLRAISER / HELLBOUND: HELLRAISER II heroine Ashley Laurence will be appearing on The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs season 2 finale, which will be streaming on Shudder this Friday, June 19th, at 9pm Eastern. (The episode will then be available to watch any time you want.)

Joe Bob previously hosted HELLRAISER as part of his very first Shudder special, a marathon of thirteen films that streamed back in July of 2018. But Shudder also has HELLBOUND: HELLRAISER II, and Joe Bob hasn't hosted that one on The Last Drive-In yet, so maybe that's what he'll be showing and talking to Bradley and Laurence about. Their movie will be the first of two Joe Bob will be showing during the episode.

Bradley had this to say about the guest appearance:

What could be better than a delightful evening sitting trailerside on a balmy Texas evening with Joe Bob Briggs and my friend and colleague Ashley Laurence to shoot the breeze and talk of this and that….and maybe a little touch of HELLRAISER too? Join us on Friday to eavesdrop on our chat. See you there!"

Movies shown on The Last Drive-In are usually kept secret until the moment Joe Bob presents them. Hints do get posted online, though, and the second movie of this Friday's double feature has been described as "a post-apocalyptic monster movie that pretty much rips up the conventions of both genres."

I'll be watching, no matter what movies are shown.

The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs is produced by Matt Manjourides and Justin Martell and directed by Austin Jennings.
