Seemingly every day brings us new DRIVE ANGRY news; this time we’re looking behind the camera. ShockTillYouDrop learned that Gary Tunnicliffe is handling the special effects for the revenge thriller. The news is seemingly confirmed by a look at the IMDB page for the film, which also reveals that Brian Pearson (THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT 2) is the film’s cinematographer. Both Pearson and Tunnicliffe worked on Lussier’s last two films, MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3D and WHITE NOISE 2, while Tunnicliffe has collaborated on almost every one of Lussier’s directorial efforts, going all the way back to DRACULA 2000.

The film has also added actor James Hébert (pictured right), who we’ll soon be seeing in THE EXPENDABLES and DEAD OF NIGHT. He joins Nic Cage, David Morse, Tom Atkins, Amber Heard, William Fichtner, Charlotte Ross, and Billy Burke in the film, which centers on a man (Cage) driven by rage who is chasing the people who killed his daughter and kidnapped her baby. The vendetta/rescue spins out of control as the chase gets bloodier by the mile, leaving bodies strewn along the highway.

DRIVE ANGRY opens in FEBRUARY 2011.
